Hey there!

I’m Megan
Marsh

I'm a mom, a speaker, business owner, real estate investor and entreprenuer. My goal is to help people working in real estate and mortgage make more money, have more time, and have more freedom.

"I love helping others succeed by finding solutions to problems."

My Story: From Fired To Financial Freedom

If you are a loan officer who has been in the industry for some time, this story may sound eerily familiar to you:

In 2012 Megan Marsh found herself in a situation where she had to leave the mortgage company she had been working at for 8 years as the top producer, in a matter of one day. She had no plans, no strategy, knew NOTHING about running her own mortgage business.

She had her own Jerry McGuire moment and found herself without a company or able to lock loans, as well as responsible for two team members who chose to walk out alongside her.

At the same time, Andres Munar had to leave the retail lending branch that he had been originating at quickly and decided a mortgage brokerage was his best bet. He began plugging away, Just him and an assistant, trying to grow a book of business and make it on his own.

Happenstance led Andres and Megan to meet in 2015.

Megan’s journey didn’t get any easier after her Jerry McGuire moment. Immediately after starting her own brokerage, she was handed papers and began dealing with her first lawsuit from her former employer.

Next, she had to make the difficult decision of parting ways with her business partner and starting a new mortgage brokerage, and even though that company did very well, she eventually decided to try her hand as a Retail Lending Manager.

“At this point, I was a Mom of 3 kids with one on the way, surrounded by a team of all men. I did not fit in with “the boys club” and the boys club did not like the moves I was making in my markets.”

That was when in 2019, Megan & Andres left retail once and for all and started Co/LAB Lending. It took off!

“We knew that this was our moment to begin changing our business. Welcoming in others and finding ways to bring people in who had the same goals and vision as us. We also knew we had other work to do for other people in the real estate and mortgage industry”

The Three Essential Tools Carried Me Through The Toughest Times

  • The cheerleaders in my life who were always there to support me and remind me of my potential
  • The extra businesses I had helped launch that started to generate enough income to give me breathing room and let me make wise choices
  • A gut feeling that I was meant to contribute something bigger with other people and keep striving towards that purpose

I get a thrill out of solving people's problems and helping them find solutions. That's what made me fall head over heels in love with mortgages all those years ago. But as I learned more and explored new opportunities, I realized that there's so much more out there. I've discovered multiple revenue streams that have been a game-changer for me, my family, and my business partners. And now, I'm eager to share my knowledge and show others how they can do the same.

Hello!

My Unlikely Journey: From Columbia to American Dream Catcher

Sometimes, I still can't believe how far Megan and I have come together. When I founded Co/LAB Lending, I never imagined the heights we would reach. We started with the belief that homeownership should be achievable for everyone, and we built our company on the principles of serving our customers, team members, partners, and community with excellence and inclusivity.

Over the years, we've experienced tremendous growth, helping thousands of people achieve their dream of owning a home. As we expanded into new states, we realized we could do even more by helping other loan officers and real estate professionals achieve their business dreams.

Growing up in America wasn't always easy for me. My family left Colombia when I was just four years old, and we faced many uncertainties and challenges along the way. We lived in a trailer in a small Pennsylvania town with a racetrack, and my dad supported us as a jockey.

But despite the difficulties, I always believed in the American Dream. That's why I'm so passionate about helping others achieve it through our lending and loan products at Co/LAB Lending. And now, we're taking that mission a step further by supporting business dreamers like you, providing education and support to help you build the business you've always dreamed of.

Puerto Rico was a dream I had for many years, and I knew I couldn't wait for the perfect time to pursue it. So, I took action and made it happen. We all have dreams and desires waiting on the back burner of our minds, but it's up to us to make them a reality.

"Your past doesn't define you, it prepares you for what's to come. Embrace the journey and never give up on your dreams."

The Person I Admire The Most In My Life

Let me share a final thought about my life that holds great significance to me - my unwavering admiration for my mother. Despite our family's challenging circumstances, living in a humble trailer, she remained a steadfast presence, holding us together through thick and thin.

Even when faced with my father's shortcomings or my own struggles, she remained a pillar of strength, always prioritizing the needs of others before her own. From a young age, she instilled in me the importance of serving others, a value that I carry with me in my career and throughout my life.

Whenever I encounter difficult times, I reflect on her unwavering strength, asking myself, "What would Mom do?" and I know that her resilience and determination will always guide me through.
